Final Fantasy Tactics x Medieval March
This series was inspired by the job classes on Final Fantasy Tactics and were also done following the prompts on @codibear's Adobe Live.
Process
My process is mostly the same for every painting. I start off with a rough sketch which I then polish. I try not to sketch out every detail so that I could paint these details fresh later. I find that this gives life to the final painting.
Then I do a series of color thumbs. I usually do 4 or more because I get very indecisive with color and this stage allows me to explore and find the one that makes my eyes the happiest.

Then comes the painting! I start off with blocking in all the elements with a flat color. I move from the background all the way to the foreground. I find that this order keeps me from getting overwhelmed and distracted.  After that is the fun part of rendering and adding in details. This takes the most time depending on how much detail I want to add.

When I feel like the painting is done, I finish it off with a few adjustment layers to tweak some colors or add some lighting effects (as needed).
I hope you enjoyed viewing this little personal project!
